Character Name: Lust

Character Series: Fullmetal Alchemist

Age: About 15 as Homunculus, but looks like she’s about 25.

Background: When a person tries forbidden human transmutation, it ends with failure (often with alchemist’s death). If the remains of the person who was supposed to be revived is fed Red Stones (an incomplete version of the Philosopher’s Stone) a Homunculus is born. Lust was created during the Ishibal War, when Scar’s brother tried to bring his lover back to life.

Her only dream was to obtain a soul, and thus become a human. She believed that the only way of doing it was by using the Philosopher’s Stone. Therefore, Lust’s job was to encourage different alchemists, such as Cornello or Mugear, to create the Stone for her master. However, she always stayed in the background, letting the things be as they were.

Not long after her "birth", another Homunculus, Envy, spread the Fossil Disease in a village in order to convince an alchemist living there, Lujon, to create the Philosopher’s Stone. Lust helped Lujon in his study, and soon he fell in love in her. He reminded her of her creator, Scar’s brother, and she left the village, as she didn’t want to use him as a tool anymore.

Lust was the one who gave the fake Philosopher’s Stone to Cornello and told Mugear about Red Water. She needed to make sure Doctor Tim Marcoh didn’t reveal too much information to Elric brothers, so she found him, but was killed (she stated that it was her first death). However, being partly immortal, she didn’t care and threatened him so he would tell her where he hid his notes. In the library, Lust got involved in a fight with Scar, which ended with burning whole first department of the library.

She and the a few other Homunculi came out into the open in the 5th Laboratory, and were close to persuade Edward Elric to create a Philosopher’s Stone using some prisoners, but were interrupted by army and had to retreat.

During Greed’s escape, Lust killed two of his companions, Leo and Dolcetto. However, she did not follow Greed, as she knew he would fall into Dante’s trap.

After Greed’s death, Lust and Lujon met once again. He insisted on her to stay with him, but Lust killed him in order to "fix" the mistake of getting him involved in the Homunculi's plans.

In Lior, Lust attempted to kill Edward, revealing her name to him before the fight. She was stopped by Scar, who had the locket with a few strands of her previous life’s hair, which made her unable to move. Later, even though she did had some objections, she let Scar create the Philosopher’s Stone inside of Al. Due to the locket, which Scar left by Al, Lust couldn’t do (and didn’t really want to) anything and let Elric brothers go. Because of that, she was imprisoned by other Homunculi.

After Hohenheim’s loss to Dante, Lust was given another chance. Her (and Wrath’s) task was to kill Edward while Sloth was in charge of capturing Al. During the fight between her, Wrath and Ed, Lust realized that Dante wanted the Philosopher’s Stone for herself and never intended to turn her into human. Thus, she killed Wrath and teamed up with Ed. While he and Al were fighting against Sloth, she fought Wrath. Using the locket Ed left earlier by his body, Wrath immobilized Lust and used transmutation circle created by Ed…

… which, in my version, caused her to land in Memento Eden.

Personality: As her name suggests, Lust is not afraid of using her charm and seducing people to get what she wants. While ruthless throughout most of the series, Lust changes near the end during the Lior incident and softens towards Scar and Elric brothers. She wants to become human more than any other Homunculi and doesn’t really care who would be the one to make her dream come true. Lust sometimes asks herself questions like "Where did I come from? Where will I go?", as if she wasn’t sure of the purpose of her existence. Just before her death, it is reveled that she wanted to become a human so she could die.

Lust is pretty selfish as she doesn't mind hurting people while trying to achieve her goals. It can be assumed that people's stupidity and naivety amuse her. She doesn't really care for any other Homuculi, except for Gluttony, to whom she acts as some kind of a carer. As she regains memories of her past, however, she shows some human feelings, especially towards Scar, who was in love with the person she was created from.
